The Problem: Knowledge Buried in Documents

We watched teams waste hours every week searching through hundreds of pages to find simple answers. Medical residents flipping through 500-page protocols during patient rounds. Support agents hunting through documentation while customers waited. New employees spending weeks learning where information lived instead of doing their actual jobs.

The tools available weren't helping. Ctrl+F only finds exact matches. ChatGPT pulls from the internet instead of your specific documents. Traditional search can't understand images or presentation slides. And nobody could verify where AI answers actually came from.

What used to take 10-15 minutes should take 30 seconds. But more importantly, people needed to trust the answers they were getting.

Our Guiding Principles

1

Answers Only From YOUR Documents

No internet contamination. No mixing with outdated information. When you ask a question, you get answers from your specific documents — not from ChatGPT's training data. This matters in healthcare, finance, legal, and any field where accuracy isn't optional.

2

Every Answer Must Be Verifiable

Trust through transparency. Every answer includes exact page citations so you can verify it yourself. Click any citation to see the source text. No black box. No "trust me." You can always check the work.

3

Multimodal: Text + Images + Presentations

Real-world knowledge isn't just text. It's diagrams, charts, photos, and presentation slides. We built the only platform that truly understands all of it together — because that's how people actually learn and share knowledge.

4

Simple Enough for Anyone

No technical knowledge required. Upload your documents, ask questions in plain English, get instant answers with visuals. If you can use Google, you can use DocuTrain. The complexity is hidden; the power is accessible.

What Makes Us Different

Most document AI tools are just text search with extra steps. They can't handle PowerPoint presentations. They ignore images. They can't cite sources properly. They mix your documents with internet data.

We took a different approach: Build a platform that understands how people actually work with documents. That means native PowerPoint support. AI vision that reads diagrams and charts. Automatic image extraction and understanding. Multi-document search. And most importantly — answers that include relevant images and slides automatically, not just text.

When a medical resident asks about a procedure, they don't just need text — they need the diagram showing the steps. When a support agent troubleshoots equipment, they need the photo of the actual part. When a student studies course materials, they need the chart that explains the concept.

That's multimodal training: Learning from text, images, and presentations all together — the way real knowledge actually exists.

The Results We're Seeing

Teams using DocuTrain report 95% reduction in information lookup time. What took 10-15 minutes now takes 30 seconds. New employees become productive 60% faster. Training time drops from weeks to days.

But the numbers don't tell the whole story. It's the medical resident who can focus on the patient instead of searching protocols. The support agent who solves problems on the first call. The new employee who feels confident instead of lost.

It's about giving people their time back — time to do the work that actually matters instead of hunting for information that should be instantly accessible.

Our Commitment

We're building DocuTrain for teams that rely on accurate, verifiable information. Where mistakes have consequences. Where trust matters. Where time is valuable.

Every feature we add follows our core principles: Answers only from your documents. Complete transparency with citations. True multimodal understanding. Simple enough for anyone.

We're not trying to replace human expertise. We're trying to make that expertise more accessible — to turn passive documents into active assistants that help people do their best work.

About the Creator

DocuTrain was created by Dr. Jordan Weinstein, a Nephrologist at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto and Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Weinstein's clinical expertise spans hypertension, end-stage renal disease and renal replacement therapy, living donor kidney transplantation, and kidney stones. As a Master Teacher certified by the University of Toronto, he teaches at all levels of medical and allied health education and has designed and participated in several hundred Continuing Medical Education activities on regional, national, and international levels.

With a strong interest in adult e-learning and accomplished skills in web development, Dr. Weinstein founded BrightBean Solutions Inc., a boutique medical education agency focusing on web and application development for the health vertical. BrightBean has founded many successful websites, most notably UKidney.com.

This unique combination of clinical medicine, teaching expertise, and technology development shaped DocuTrain's core philosophy: build tools that work the way people actually learn and share knowledge, with multimodal content and verifiable sources at the foundation. Having experienced firsthand the challenges of accessing critical information during patient care and medical education, Dr. Weinstein understood the need for tools that make complex information instantly accessible while maintaining the accuracy and verifiability that healthcare — and other high-stakes fields — demand.
